We were at a concert at the pub Kamot in Klagenfurt. Accidently I forgot the name of the band who played, but there aren’t much pictures of them anyway (bad light). By the way, these are pictures from my flickr account, loaded with [WordPress Flickr Manager](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-flickr-manager/). Continue Reading…

I put some photos of my sisters cat online. You can find them at [my sisters cat@my fotoalbum](http://www.sdm-net.org/fotoalbum/?view=album&aid=54). There are just a few pictures online because this cat is just too fast for my finger ;). It’s been fun to watch him play and do strange things. Just don’t get too close to him when he’s angry. I tell you it hurts.
What is trusted computing? Why doesn’t the industry trust me? Why do they want control about my computer/pda/cellphone/other device? Why can’t I decide by myself, who is thrustworthy? There’s a movie available at [LAFKONs page on Trusted Computing](http://www.lafkon.net/tc/). Though it is quite short it makes YOU ask these questions. Go watch it.
Last year I got myself a new laptop. Actually it is my very first laptop ever. Although I never really wanted to have a laptop I found it useful to have one for studying purpose and more. Of course I set it up with Ubuntu.

This is what I read in 2006. I really hope this list is accurate and I didn’t forget any good book I read. Normally I enter the books I read exactly when I finish them, but last year I’ve been sort of lazy according to this list. The worst case would be my adding books after this article is published. And sorry for not publishing it earlier (I thought I set a publish date but I didn’t *oops*).

“Start Windows, install Guild Wars, have a little fun.” This is what I thought tonight – but what happened? Windows crashes. Well, ok, these things happen from time to time one could say. But normally I’m no Windows user, and my system was pre-installed by Dell. Basically unused, I prefer to start Windows when I need to use Internet Explorer (which doesn’t happen that often *sigh*). Last time I booted it a year or so ago. All I did is leave my “My Book” connected through USB – and then tried to remove it through the unmount dialog Windows offers. Then crash… Make up your own thoughts.
Today I found some interesting pages about treemaps. Normally used to graphically display size information about a large amount of data it can also be used on websites to display tags. Don’t know what I mean? Then check this one out: RoomforMilk. Nice idea, [Geoff Gaudreault](http://www.gaudreault.org/)!
Today I played a bit with my [fotoalbum](/development/fotoalbum/). I learned that I made a whole **lot** of database queries which are not necessary at all. So I began making optimisations to improve performance.

Yesterday I installed a bad extension that broke my Firefox. I’m not really sure which one it was since I tried several different ones. Well, after installation and then restarting Firefox it refused to work. Tooltips did display but the interface didn’t accept any input. Neither mouse nor keyboard. What to do?
