This [password retrieval article](http://www.heise.de/newsticker/Passwortklau-durch-gekuehlten-Speicher–/meldung/103908) makes me think about data-encryption… Is encryption in vain? Is hardware this insecure? Though the article is in german you can find the original Princeton paper in english at the bottom of the page.
